The verdict: Kiin Kiin now can boast the only Thai restaurant with a Michelin star, since David Thompson's Nahm in London lost theirs just a couple of weeks ago. The welcoming ground floor - warm & golden yet dimly lit, where welcome drink & amuse-bouche are served, looks something like an imaginary version of a South East Asian's hareem. There is only one way to go when it comes to food. Kiin Kiin's tasting menu is innovative and beautifully presented. Flavourful in a rather authentic manner which means this might not be ideal for everyone, especially those who find variations of flavours in a single meal (several of which are quite intense & with a kick) too much. Still it's certainly a culinary experience worth indulging.
