Postcards from Bergen

I'm here for the very first time at UNESCO's World Heritage City of Bergen as a guest of the Bregen International Festival, which is celebrating its Golden Jubilee this year. Nestles among seven mountains in the southwestern part of Norway and is the gateway to the world's renowned Norwegian fjords, the picturesque & unique geographical features of the area has already made quite an impression on me even before touching down. With the clear blue sky & its deep blue sea combined with the bikini weather forecasting for the rest of the week, I'm looking forward to taking in as much fresh air as I possibly can & start exploring!

As the hometown of Edvard Grieg & one of the world's oldest orchestras plus its association with the great playwright Henrik Ibsen, who once served as a manager of the city theatre, the Festival carries the signature theme of "Nordic impulses" within the programming of its various genres of art from music, theatre, dance, opera to visual art.
