I'm back in NYC yet again but this time it's a whole new experience. First of all, of almost 20 years of coming here I'd never stayed this far up the island! Then, I don't know if it's an 'only-child' thing or whether it's the fact that I've been living by myself since I was 14, but I find it hard to fit into a family environment. I seldom accept an invitation to stay at someone else's home. This time my friends went out of their way to make sure I would have no excuse to say no. I'm having an entire floor to myself, Diptyque candle by my bed-stand, Frette towels, latest issue of Vogue by the bathtub, a humidifier & even a personalised tea mug! Let the new adventure begins :-)
